Joined by his two daughters—trail names “Nocs” and “Zazu”—Skip\, who became known on the trail as “Whitecap\,” faced the physical and mental challenges of a long-distance hike as an older adventurer keeping pace with younger hikers. \nIn this engaging presentation\, Skip shares the trials\, tribulations\, and triumphs of their 2\,193-mile trek through a captivating slideshow\, accompanied by original songs he wrote along the way. AT: The Musical is a light-hearted\, honest reflection on life on the trail\, filled with humor\, heart\, and hard-earned wisdom. \nSince completing the Appalachian Trail\, Skip has stayed deeply connected to the outdoors. He supports the AMC-CT Chapter through trail maintenance and boundary monitoring\, and as of May 2024\, he maintains the section from West Cornwall Road to Cesar Brook Campsite.
