About Ski Sundown
Ski Sundown offers day and night skiing and snowboarding from early December through late March. We are an extremely family-friendly ski area in Northwest CT with 17 trails (16 lit for night skiing) and a designated learning area. The mountain is open 7 days and nights a week until 10pm. We have terrain for every ability level including beginner, intermediate and expert on 70 skiable acres. Our trails are serviced by two conveyor lifts, two triple chairlifts and a NEW Skytrac quad chairlift with conveyor. This lift is the first of its kind in CT and will debut for the 2024-2025 season.
Ski Sundown has one hundred percent snowmaking coverage and a twice daily groom for the most reliable conditions in the region. Lift tickets are flexible and affordable with options including peak or off-peak, 4 hour, 8 hour, and nighttime. Tickets “start anytime” when you hit the slopes and are also available for purchase online or onsite. We offer two terrain parks, a designated mogul trail in spring, and free NASTAR racing on Sundays and Thursdays (with lift ticket or pass). Ski Sundown also hosts a variety of family events and competitions throughout the winter.
Ski Sundown Snowsports school is well known for its high-quality group, private and multi-week lesson programs for kids ages 3+, teens and adults. Our professional instructors go through extensive training, and are eager to share their passion for the sport with their students. In addition, Ski Sundown’s adaptive program provides ski and snowboard lessons to individuals of all ages with physical, cognitive or developmental disabilities. Ski Sundown is affiliated with Summit Adaptive Sports Inc., a nonprofit adaptive skiing and recreation organization for individuals with disabilities.
Ski Sundown also offers a full-service rental and repair shop, ski shop, modern and spacious lodge with two self-service food courts, après-ski lounge and NEW 10,000 sq ft mountain view patio.
